I read somewhere that you can over-exercise?!
Question: I read somewhere that you can over-exercise.?
Is there a point at which you can over-exercise.? I know that you should do upper body one day and lower body the next. But I've read about stars working out like 5 hours a day and it doesn't seem to do anything but make them look better.Health Question & Answer

yeah but they are at expert level and have adapted to it over a long period of time beforehand. you have to work up to it.
As to 5 hrs that is probably extra crap like massages and yoga and pool therapy included and they are rich enough to not work and sleep when they want too.
look at it this way, for pure fitness and cardio and strength training even the world;s best elite athletes and olympians rarely do more than 3-4hrs a day themselves.
i would stick to 2-3 hrs a day max myself. put the cardio workout at one end of the day and the strenght workout at the other to give you time to recover in between. take a whole day off a week doing nothin. you find with good rest things snap into shape faster. its when you sleep your body actually gets tighter and grows the muscle.Health Question & Answer
