no child abuseHealth Question & Answer

Maybe not so drastic measures but they should definitely be required to take parenting classes or fitness classes with their child. Unfortunately the food marketing in stores and fast food places are geared to quick, cheap and easy. The prices are alot cheaper for unhealthy food then getting fresh meats, fruits and veggies. It's sad but alot of people these days can't afford quality fresh healthy food. Nor do some of the parents take time to cook healthy meals.Health Question & Answer

No more then that of thin children's parents who give them prepackage over process food.

This country (USA) promote unhealthy eating habits with all of the unnatural fast food, sugar, cornstarch, corn syrup and unnameable additives that fill our food and keep people coming back to buy them and to stay fat on.

Even when the fillers were not there, the Govt. and Manufacturer promoted on the radio and early TV ads to Buy! buy! buy that new and in-proved food items. You were told to eat all of your food on your plate, sit on the couch and eat TV dinners while you watch TV, now you lay in the bed to do this and got to have that popcorn, pop, candy, Nachos and Hot dogs to watch a movie and they even sell snacks to carry into the theater to eat during a Play!

I could go on and on but, I won't, I'm sure you get the picture. That this is bigger then just parents feeding their kids unhealthy food Obese or Otherwise. So You tell me who do you think should be arrested the people who brain wash or the people who's been brain washed and Besides, How would the Diet and exercises manufacturer make a living.?Health Question & Answer

Only if they force it down their throats and give the kid no other alternative.

you can lead the horse to water, but you can't make it drink

*edit* How old are we talking, if too young to know better I agree the parent is responsible but thats a bit harsh, if old enough to know better I disagree, When you said 'already obese' I figured that would take time and the kid would be older. Not trying to argue just stating my opinion:PHealth Question & Answer

Some kids are just big, they are pre disposed to be larger than average and no matter what they eat there weight will always be a problem so its not always what they put in there mouth,a lot of it is what they inherited from there parents, how about banning big people from having children, that doesn't make sense and neither does arresting people for eating McDonald's.Health Question & Answer

Yes and No. I think the companies that supply the food should be arrested, then the parents cant supply their children with the food. But yea parents are still at fault, like my mom purposely wants me to eat fatty food and unhealthy things to gain weight lol, but i dont gain weight anyway so theirs no point plus i would be hurting my body. Health Question & Answer

ugh no. It's their kid they can raise their child how they want to.
And usually the only reason parents feed their kids crap is cuz they don't have the money or time for the healthy foods.
