Cut back on calories. No you wont be depriving yourself. You can still eat an all you can eat buffet, you can drink, eat anything you want. The trick is this ... I am a 6'0" Male 170 pounds. All you need to do is average 1600 calories per day at end of the month, so in a 30-day month, keep track of the calories you eat, and have NO MORE than 50,000 calories per month. You will lose 10 pounds that month. It will take you 3 months which will go by sooner than you think. You dont even need to exercise. This is what I do ...

Purchase low-fat / low-calorie meals and make them at home. You can have a can of Progresso Soup which is only 200 calories, make yourself a tuna melt which is like 250 cals (do not use NO fat butter, you need the fat to toast the bread). I purchase Fluff and Splenda sweetened Jelly and spread that on toast and make a sandwhich ... it tastes exactly like a powdered Jelly donut! I mean you can eat anything you want. 2 slices cheese pizza, expect 500 calories. Eat at a buffet, expect 1500 calories. If you're gonna have a big meal though let it be the only meal you eat that day. Chicken and turkey slices are low fat if you want to make sandwhiches with your soup. Seafood is low cal and high protein.

What you want to do is cut back your calorie intake the first few days. Once you do this you will lose your appetite! On my diets, eventually I can go the entire day without eating. And that helps out greatly cause that means I can eat to my hearts content the next day (or save it for the weekend ;). I actually go on the diet for 2 weeks, then I'll fall off the diet cause seeing how its the holiday season like it might be for you, Halloween Candy, Thanksgiving, Christmas Dinners ... will disrupt your diet plan. BUT its not like the Atkins diet where if you mess up once, you have to start all over again. Nope, just continue on with your diet as long as you consume 48,000 - 50,000 calories per month the next 3 months you will lose 30 pounds. When I diet, I didnt exercise. Nothing more than walking the dog. I sat at the computer all day working I still lose 10 pounds a month at 1600 cals / day (put in some exercise though cause I believe my average is 1487 calories per day cause of the cals I loss with walking the dog). Fruit and vegetables are great snacks, very low in calorie, and nutritious. Protein is low calorie and healthy.

So this really is in my opinion the best diet. Have fun searching the web for low calorie foods and build your plan. You also live longer the less calories you consume. Its been tested in mice. You have vitamins, protein, no strenuous exercise (unless you want to build muscle or lose weight faster), its very healthy ... this is to me the perfect and easiest diet!

Find a calorie calculator website online so you can record your weight every morning and how many cals you ate that day. Have a weight scale nearby. Remember that your weight will fluctuate but at end of month it'll be 10 pounds. Maybe 12 pounds your first month, 10 pounds second month, and 8 pounds third month. Even if you have 4,000 calories one day which I have done, you will gain a couple pounds that day but still make your target if it averages out. Do include some exercise though. I usually do, like sit ups and ride a bicycle.

When I was younger, I moved out of the city into a smaller town. There weren't as many fastfood places and not as much to do so I was walking around more. I also ate more yogurt for some reason...lol I ended up losing about 30 lbs in a couple months.
I would say cut out fastfood, get more exercise and be sure to get calcium. Health Question & Answer

Drink water instead of sugar-based drinks.
Eat tons of veggies and fruit.
Cut back on carbs such as bread (especially white breads) and sweets containing sugar.
Eat smaller portion sizes.
Make sure not to skip breakfast.
