Question: Lunch time help................?
What can I have for lunch that is high in protein and very low in carbs or no carbs that I can order or buy from a store.? I only have a microwave here at work so I cant really cook. Thanks?

Tofu is one of the best, but tasteless unless cooked, maybe available from a chinese takeaway.

Perhaps you could make something like a chicken salad, basic salad with lettuce, tomatos, cucumber and lots of cold chicken (you should be able to buy that from the shop).

You could eat meat wrapped in lettuce leaves (the Korean way).

Or beans, beans the musical fruit (the more you eat the more you toot).

But why not get a microwave meal from the shop.....?Health Question & Answer

I have had this problem too. If you go to a fast food place every one of them I have gone too will make your food as you request. A cheeseburger with all the veggies and mayo and mustard is ok. Skip the bun and ketchup. Same with a grilled chicken sandwich just ask for no bun. also every restaraunt has a salad of sorts--just ask for a grilled chicken breast Most of the pizza places will fix you a "pizza" without the crust or you can order thin crust with extra toppings and DON'T eat the crust! I often take my lunch and have a salad (lettuce, cherry or grape tomatoes, red onion, spinach, shredded carrots), take shredded cheddar cheese in a baggie and a grilled chicken breast or burger patty. Heat up the meat and put it on your salad. Tuna in the foil packages is great too because it is so much fresher and don't need a can opener. You can have virtually any meat on low carb. How about a chili cheese dog without the bun.? also alot of delis will make your sandwich a wrap in a very low carb tortillia. You can buy low carb tortillias in the grocery store. This is a GREAT website for all kinds of those questions. Don't let the name fool you cause they know their stuff! Good Luck!

This is good choice. I suggest you to try red meat, because it is great choice as protein source. Another good choice is fish. Don't about that it contains fats. These fats are healthy Omega-3 and 6 fatty acids.

Try to take some kernels - walnuts and almonds will slow down food absorption after your lunch.
