I was the same way then I discovered there is NO diet out there that will safely promote weight loss.

I found that eating 6 (yes, six times a day) in small amounts of carbs, protein, oils, and fats, boost metabolism and GREATLY promote weight lose.

also, pick a day(your free day) out of the week to eat whatever you want, this will boost "leptin" levels and also promote weight loss.

Follow this for one month and you will notice at least 10 pounds of weight loss. You will also notice that your "free day" will become less appealing each week as it drags your energy to the floor.

make sure you take a multivitamin(any OTC vitamin) daily.

Hun, you're actually at a very good weight for your size. I was the same at your age, and now at 18, I'm 150 and still don't look bad cause it's mostly muscle mass.

How about instead of trying just lose weight, work on toning your muscles.? By doing that you might gain a few extra pounds, but that's good when working out. Of course it'll fluctuate, but just keep in mind that you're getting more muscle!

also, dieting along with working out does wonders. Just be sure to consume enough carbs so that you don't run out of energy while working out. Try snacking on veggies instead of junk food, don't eat till you're full just till you aren't hungry, decrease soda and candy intake, etc. There's several things you can use in combination to help. I'd strongly suggest to work on your tone rather than just weight; in the long run you might like the results better.
