Basically it can make you work harder without realising that you are. I find without music I'm just thinking "Ouch, I hate this, I want to stop, I could eat a hamburger about now". With the right sort of music I get carried along with the beat and it all just seems easier. One of my favourites is "Hazy Shade of Winter" by the Bangles, and I love OK Go's song "Here it Goes Again" too.Health Question & Answer

Listening to fast-paced music while eating, as studies show, makes you eat faster, which means you eat more and your body gets that full feeling later, after more food has been consumed...
I suppose the opposite must be true, then.
Fast music makes you eat more. Fast music probably, then, makes you work out more. Health Question & Answer

I suppose everyone is different but I know for myself, listening to music distracts me, and I work out longer. When I exercise without music, I'm too focused on how I'd rather be doing something else..LOL.Health Question & Answer
They say music pumps you up adn makes you feel good. Just don't play it too loud or you'll have hearing problems later on in life.Health Question & Answer
