Like 1 pound or more depending on how much they normally eat...

(EXAMPLE : I eat about 1000 a day, so if I cut that down to 500 I'd lose 1 pound a week because 1 X 7 = 3500, and 3500 calories = 1 pound.)

But it's not healthy and you'd have to eat that same amount forever (if you don't want to gain the weight back + more) which might lead to health problems and death. Because if you eat less than 1,200 calories a day your body goes into starvation mode and when you start to eat normally again (the alternative to dying) then you'll gain it back FAST and maybe even more. So PLEASE take this into consideration before you try this...You're only setting yourself up for failure, I know because I've tried this.

The cravings (cause you are going to be lacking in certain nutrients) you get for the foods you are restricting from yourself are almost unbearable and one day you will crack and binge like there's no tomorrow. It happened to me and it will, most likely, happen to you.

First of all 600 calories is not nearly enough per day I think your supposed to have about 2000. If your trying to lose weight I don't think starving yourself is the way to go simply because your metabolism will weaken and this could lead to putting on weight. It depends on how much you weigh. When you are really heavy and start losing weight you'll lose it much faster than a person already fairly thin.
For example, if you weigh 200 pounds, weight will come off a lot faster than for a person who weighs 120 pounds.
If you're a little heavier I'd say losing 5 pounds a week on that diet would be pretty average.

omg! please dont tell me that ur doing that because most of the time when people give "if" example it means they are doing it. 600 calories a day wont even help u to get through the day! u cant exercise AT ALL if u only eat 600 calories a day. u need to add 1400 more calories to ur diet and then u'll start losing weight. yeah u'll lose weight if u eat 600 calories a day and exercise moderately( if u can!!), but u'll start craving sweets and soon u will get back on double the weight u lost, so its a lose-lose situation. here is what u do, eat 2000 calories or more a day and make sure its mostly healthy calories, exercise moderatly 30 mins 3 times a week and u should notice some changes. it will be a lil slow but it will be very normal and healthy, ur not suposed to lose weight too fast anyway. psh....600 calories is like 3/4 or 1 meal to me.......lol......i eat 3500 calories a day and i work out and still not gain weight and still in shape big time! please spare ur self the torture because exercising means burning calories and u cant burn calories if u dont have any. u'll only get sick that it.Health Question & Answer
