Question: Is this an unsafe way to lose weight.? 10 POINTS.?
In the beggining 2009, I plan on going on a 2,000 calorie diet

i also plan on

going 5 mph on a treadmill for 3 hours a day, 7 days a week for the entire summer.

i am 14 years od at a height of 6feet on the dot, and 211 pounds last weighed

#1 around how much weight should i lose.?

#2 is it ok for me to lose as much weight as i'd be losing that fast.?

(i want to get in shape for lifeguarding(ill be taking my test next year as well

its not about the amount of weight you want to lose. you want to burn the fat and turn it into muscle. since you are tall, its okay if you weigh a bit more. you should weigh in between 160-196
but fat is lighter than muscle. so dont be alarmed if your weight is higher when you are gaining muscles.
dont do 3 hours of workout every single day!!! that is unhealthy and you will wear yourself out.
keep your workout routine to an hour max.
have smaller meals but more meals throughout the day. it helps your digestion.
you dotn have to eat less but obviously dont pig out. and remember meat is important if you want muscle. eat a lot of fruit for fibre, it helps you digest easier. cut down on fast food. once a week is enough.
since you are 14 though.....seriously you have a long time to get fit. dotn worry about looking cut. lifeguarding isn't about how you look but about your skills and knowledge.
of course once you pass your test, you may still be working out around that time to get fit. swimming alone gets you in good shape fast.
if you want, you can switch up the treadmill for doing laps in the pool.Health Question & Answer

Go outside and walk. Start out with 20 minutes a day for about a week then move up 10 min more every week.Do an hour or more a day or even every other day.You will totaly bore yourself with 3 hours a day on the treadmill! Get an Ipod or Mp3 player and go walking outside!:) MUCH BETTER.Unless its nasty out. You can lose a tone of weight by walking. Drink tons of water! LEAVE out the soda.EVEN the diet stuff.
