i have some excess fat around my midriff and back i know there has got to be some type of natural herb i can take to help burn this fat while i excercise and continue to maiatain a healthy diet.Health Question & Answer

Because of a health problem my daughter has, I have learned more about metabolism and burning fat for energy versus carbs and sugars than I ever dreamed I would know. There are a couple herbs or supplements that people advertise to "speed up" their metabolism - but for the most part, short cuts don't work. Your best bet is to establish a couple small changes in your diet and exercise toward healthier eating/drinking and combining it with a good routine of more exercise than you used to get while putting on those extra pounds. Then be patient. It took some time to create that extra fat. Give your body time to adjust to the new habits and drop the fat.

I think it's GREAT that you've lost 40 pounds. The more you lose, the slower it comes off.

The only thing you can do is burn more calories. When you just started trying to slim down, you weighed a lot more so your body burned more with the same amount of exercise. Can you use weights.?
