Question: Is 600 calories a day safe.?
I am 4'11 and wants to lose 20 pounds I changed my diet from 1500 to 600 calories a day.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
That would be very bad. Especially if you exercised. You burn more than 600 calories in a day just by breathing and doing daily activities like walking or sitting and breathing.

No.

You're not going to be getting enough nutrition with 600 calories a day. Why not consider exercise or a change in diet (healthier foods like lean meat, vegetables, fruits, small handful of nuts everyday) instead of consuming way less than what your body needs.?Health Question & Answer

No! you are going to lower your metabolism to the point that when you start eating properly you will just put on more and more weight. Try moving more and building some muscle. Yes muscle will increase your weight but it takes far less area than fat and muscle burns calories more efficiently. Do you really need to lose 20lbs or are you trying to be one of the stick girls.? Health Question & Answer

No, it is not...
But best you can do if you want to lose 20 pounds is, ask your doctor what the lowest calories you can eat that safe, and walk or ride bike. Because that what my doctor making me do [but mine because of health problems]Health Question & Answer

no.....it will leave you severely immancipated with a croaky voice that sounds like a frog.......you'll wither up and all the guys will get turned off......best to leave some meat on the bone.....and look tender and juicy and the guys will be flopping all over themselves for youHealth Question & Answer

cutting cal. Alone won't help you lose weight! Your body is not stupid! As soon as the body figures out what your doing it will cut back it's energy out put! Working out as well as a balanced diet is the way to go. It's simple move more & eat less.Health Question & Answer

its proabably not that safe. you need to feel as thought your getting enough food. you dont want the feeling of emptyness.n once you start to eat more again, you will gain back weight. so its not really a good method.Health Question & Answer

Not safe! You need those 600 calories just to live without moving! If you want to lose weight, try exercising instead of changing your calorie intake. I think 1500 is perfect you just have to burn some with exercise.Health Question & Answer

before going that extreme, i would visit a doctor. he will help weigh your pros and cons. my suggested calorie intake is 1300. so i would think that is a little low.Health Question & Answer
