Question: When exercising aerobically for extended periods of time (30 min to 1 hr) is it possible it becomes anaerobic.?
If it is possible, please tell me how quickly this occurs for both an easy pace, and a very strenuous pace. And, lets assume the person is not very conditioned...in other words, out of shape. Thanks for your help.Health Question & Answer

Aerobic exercise does, at some point, become anaerobic. It depends on many factors. When your muscles start to burn, for example, they are creating lactic acid. I think your friend should just take walks, and not get at all winded. Anything is better than nothing.

It is a possibility to lose weight rapidly but you should be realistic and take on board that if you lose weight rapidly then you will inevitably put it all back on again just as rapidly.
