Do protein shakes stunt growth, and what do they increase? ?!

Question: Do protein shakes stunt growth, and what do they increase.? .?
I've been working out for about half a year now. But my strength scarcely grew. My muscles have grown, but I want to grow in strength also. I only bench about 20 lbs more than when I started lifting. Can protein shakes help me, and do they stunt growth.? I'm 16 and weigh about 124 lbs.
also, is there any other way I can increase my strength without protein shakes.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
I have to have protein shakes twice a day. I'm 15 nearly 16 and weigh between 50 and 54 kgs.
I have to have them because I have something that means i have to avoid sugar.....and have protein as a replacement for energy.
I only have them as i was recommended by a doctor to......they are not really designed for teenagers
But they definitely don't stunt growth lol not that i've noticed anyways haha
I figured they just give you energy but the great thing about protein is when your body doesn't use it it doesn't turn into fat........ =D
i didn't really realise protein helped with strength.......but from what I'm hearing maybe it does. Oh well I'm not complaining lol

anyways probably best to talk to your doctor beforehand.....most are not really designed for teenagers or younger people so i probably wouldn't take them unless really necessary like me......talk to your doctorHealth Question & Answer

Im 17 and i used to think like you that protein powder isnt that good. 124 is really light man, you should be taking it 3 times a day. Protein shakes made me gain 5kg in about a month, mostly muscle they are awesome dude. They work by repairing the muscle and making it repair better, the whey protein is used within 40 minutes after workout and is when your body needs it mostHealth Question & Answer

They wont stunt your growth.Workout with heavier weights and less reps to build strength and size.Health Question & Answer
