Question: I'm 13 and I think I'm majorly FAT.?
I'm a 13 year old girl and I'm 110 pounds. I'm 5'3 and I workout a lot! I'm a major label reader. I throw-up my food sometimes, and I feel bad when I eat. I want to get smaller, but people always miss judge me.

The reason I'm like this is because I have an older, taller, and much thinner sister. I always hear people say that she is much thinner then me and an over-achiever. I can't deal with it! And most of it comes from my best friend's mom! Almost after every time she says it, I cry my eyes out.Health Question & Answer

110 pounds is a perfect weight for a 13 yr old who is 5'3".
Throwing up on purpose and feeling bad when you eat are signs of an eating disorder, which is probably caused by feeling inadequate when compared to your older sister.

Aww I'm sorry you feel this way :(
Try talking with your best friends mum or get someone you trust to have a word with her because this is something she should NOT be saying! :/ You could end up with a eating disorder, or may already have one.
And about your sister, she probably isn't thinner than you, you are at a perfect weight :)
Your sister may be a different build to you, because everyone's an individual :)
Please don't throw up, this leads to health implications like, bad teeth, your heart beat may be irregular and more.

First of all You don't have to be skinny to be BEAUTIFUL!!! Do not throw up your food ever!!! I known girls who have done this and it leads to serious life threatening things!!! Stop worrying Catie! You are going through puberty and your body is changing fast. Just continue to eat normally and healthily. Eat plenty of fresh fruit and vgetables and not too much fatty products. Avoid stuff like crisps etc.
Just enjoy your life - try to be as active as possible-and your body will sort itself out in the fulness of time.

Are you insane.? Youre 110 pounds, thats underweight. You should be at least 115-120. Im 5'3, 19, 120 pounds, and everyone says im extremely skinny, I dont even want to imagine how unhealthy you are, especially throwing up your food. As for your older sister, tell her to get a job and move out (depending on how much older). Just out of curiousity, how tall/old/much does she weigh.?

A friend of mine lost her best friend to anorexia, and almost died herself. Luckily the death brought her back to reality, shes still really skinny, and she probably throws up food once every few months so shes come a long way. All im saying is dont put your life in danger just to impress others, when you get older youll start to realize the people you were trying to impress dont mean sh*t. Why would you want to hang out with someone who you constantly put yourself beneath.? As long as your not sitting in front of the tv eating junk food here is two things to know : You are in the 33rd percentile that means you are in the normal range. This means 77 percent of the kids the are your height and age weigh more then you (good news).(Even better news) You have an older sister, the word you need to focus in on is "older" she might have already finished or started puberty so she is most likely taller as well. So sense I am a doctor I can tell you in you stay active and you and your sister are from the same parents (i.e. one of you is not adopted) you will become slender as well when you get *older*. omg i no exactly how u feel. im 13 too nd 5'7 (only im fatter than u so there! :P ) nd i ave a rly skinny older sister (22) hoo always calls me names nd says im fat (we rly dnt get on AT ALL). whenever my auntie comes round she ignores me nd tlks 2 me lyk a baby but she makes a MASSIVE fuss of my sister cuz she is so skinny nd my auntie thinks shes beautiful. i usually end up crying too. sometimes i wish i was thinner nd i tried eating as little as possible but ended up being ill so i had 2 stop - i wasnt anorexic or thin i just felt sick all the time. but other times im happy 4 hoo i am bcuz my best frends r about my size so i dnt worry about it 2 much nd jst concentrate on having a good time. ignore ur frends mum, just get on with ur own life, remember tht u r a young girl nd u shouldnt hav 2 worry about dieting, not much longer till ur cooped up in som kind of office or somethin being bossed around ( i believe this is caled a job btw) lol. u'll get ur chance 2 lose weight, it will probli come naturally nd u probli wont even notice! u dont need 2 worry so much, jst go out nd have fun!!

Calories are what makes people fat. If you ingest more calories than you burn, they are stored as fat. Therefore, eat 6 small, nutritious meals per day and exercise regularly. This will give you a healthy looking body.
