A few questions about..?!


Question: A few questions about...?
so,
I have a few questions
1) what do you do when its wayy too frickin cold to run outside.?
2) are there any gyms that allow dogs.?
3) I need a few tips on toning up. I don't care about weight at the moment. I just need to be toned
I am 5'8" and 157 lbs
I want to be toned pretty well.
great stomach and arms are my main goal. then comes the legs.
and I want to build my stamina. I want to gain strength.

you know how some people are so strong that their veins show.? I knew a woman. very thin. and her veins stuck out b/c she was so frickin strong. I want that. she doesnt look like grossly strong. she looks toned

then I will worry about losing weight. I am a size 11 in jeans. I'm hoping to be around a 5-7

I am recovering from an eating disorder so please dont tell me any drastic diet tips

Answers:
I've cancelled my gym membership -- too expensive. Have you considered your local community college.? I'm taking some amazing bootcamp classes at mine, in addition to an aerobic walking class. Most community colleges have a fitness center too.

also check out Cross Fit (it's free). If you don't have the apparatus they talk about, modify the workout of the day (WOD) with something you do have (i.e. a gallon jug of water for a kettle ball, quart bottles of water for arm weights, etc., etc.)

NOTE:

A size 5 or 7 for a 5'8" young woman may be unrealistic and unhealthy -- I wear a size 5 and I'm 5'5" (I think -- actually, I cut all the tags out of my clothes so I don't obsess over size....and I have no idea what I weigh as I don't weigh myself any more) Try shooting for strength and tone over the course of several months and see what your doctor says at that point.Health Question & Answer
