Question: HELP! Losing weight DRASTICALLY!.?
Hi, im 16. i have this little problem. i work out regulrly, and i eat well. i used to be around 62 kilos like a week ago, then suddenly it fell to 60 a few days ago. i thot this was natural, cuz like 2 lbs per week is healthy and watever. but it just kept falling, 59, 58, and im on 57.2 today. i thot my scale was defect, so i like put other stuff on where i knew the weight was right. so i put my dumbells on it, all gd.
i dont know how im losing weight. i dont want to, but i am, and im eating well. any suggestions reli appreciated, thanksHealth Question & Answer

wow im jealous, i work my a$$ off at the gym & dieting everyday and i feel like the needle never moves!

but on a more serious note: if losing this much weight is not what you want and you are concerned talk to your parents about it. They might have some insight as they have a good idea of your daily life and might be able to pinpoint the problem. Or they might suggest that you go to your doctor, which is probably what you should do in the long run. Rapid weightloss can be a symptom of many illnesses: intestinal disorders and diabetes included.

The other thing is that you are only 16, which means that this very well could be a growth spurt. Until you are 18 (for some even older) your body is going to continue to change until it reaches its desirable size. For some this means rapidly getting taller, others it means putting on weight, and others it means shedding "baby fat".

Overall I suggest monitoring your weightloss, and if in two weeks its still declining or youre still worried, definitly get checked out by a medical professional.

Oh also - if you've recently been put on or been taken off of any medications, this can also be a factor. Really think hard about any changes that youve made to your diet or anything you put into your body in the past week - even the smallest thing could make a difference!

maybe your metabolism has sped up. You should try to look at things you have been doing lately that you don't usually do ie. skipping meals, extra exercise. There is probably a reasonable explanation for this. Just leave it another week and if you're drastically losing more weight, I'd see a doctor. I'm sure you'll be fine though. :o)

Try not to worry too much. This has happened to me before. I couldn't explain it tbh but I've since bounced back up to my normal weight :o)Health Question & Answer

Maybe you're sick.... I'd suggest you go see a doctor and get checked out, you could have a serious medical condition/illness. I hope not.....but you never know. Wish you all the best and hope I it isn't nothing too serious. Could also be do to stress.Health Question & Answer

i dont think sur i listened to you, but if your really worried about your weight i'd see a doctor about your weight loss because even though i've heaerd nothing of it, it seems very unusual to me.. see a dietician ..my advice to youHealth Question & Answer
