Your weight shouldn't be what you're worried about; your fitness level is what determines if you're healthy or not.

Anyway, first thing's first: a 6-pack is not found in naturally. You'll never see a squirrel with a 6-pack. This means that to achieve it, you need to work VERY hard. Simply doing 100 crunches (which are 100% a WASTE OF TIME) and then a few on each side will not get you the rock hard abs of your dreams. Abdominal fat is natural and therefore will require more than doing this just 5 days a week.

Step 1: Diet. You must eat properly to maximize muscle growth while minimizing fat gain. You must listen to your body to do this. Each person is different. Stick with unprocessed, natural foods and you're on the right track.

Step 2: Cardio. That fat on your abs needs cardio to kick it in the butt and make it move. You should do at least 45 minutes of cardio (20 minutes if you're doing interval training) 5-6 days each week.

Step 3: Weight Training. Having ripped abs and no chest is going to make you look a little weird, don't you think.? On top of this, your body likes to grow evenly. You will simply not have rock hard, chiseled abs without putting on muscle in the rest of your body. Depending on how you workout, you'll be in the gym 4-6 days each week lifting weights.

Step 4: ABS. Doing cute little crunches isn't going to get you anywhere. There are literally over 100 different ways to work your abs and you're just doing two.? Give me a break! Remember, you have upper, middle, lower, and side (oblique) abs, and you must dedicate exercises to all of them. Continue to work abs 5 days each week, but not like you've been doing. Alternate days between endurance (bust out as many reps as you can in 2 minutes per set, 4 sets per exercise) and strength (get a weight so heavy you can do no more than 15 reps per set, 4 sets per exercise), and then follow that up with a rest day.

Health Question & Answer

In order to get the six pack abs you desire you need to reduce your body fat. This cannot be done by exercise alone, you also need to watch what you eat. In fact, I would say that it's far more important to adhere to a good diet than to exercise your abs, because you will only see those six pack abs when you lose that stubborn layer of flab which sticks to your belly.

Here are 4 nutritional tips which can get you on the fast track to those six pack abs:
Health Question & Answer

You can do a million crunches and not get a six-pack if your ab muscles are covered with fat. If you want ripped abs you'll need to do three things:
1. Reduce body fat (incorporate cardio training - run, bike, etc.)
2. Cut calories that turn to fat (eliminate simple carbs, sugars, etc.)
3. Resistance training (crunches)

Understand that the muscles of the abs respond relatively easily, so it's not like you have to do dozens and dozens of crunches to get ripped. Get the fat off of the muscles and you'll see the lines.Health Question & Answer

Okay, I would first say that you should ask your parent to take you to a Dr. Only he could say if you are "overweight" I do know that if you have any extra weight that you will need to do cardio exercise (walking, running) things that keep your heart beat up. I know that sometimes as you want to do lots of sit up's to get a six pack. Sit ups will help build those ab muscles BUT... spot training never works.. you have to do cardio to get the extra fat (if you actually have any) off your abs. Your muscles are in there.. They might just be covered up!
Does that make sense.?.?Health Question & Answer

2-4 weeks.

If you have a layer of fat your six pack will not show.

Cardio, whole body weight training and diet will burn any fat away.

also, being 13 i suggest that you should take care whilst doing crunches. Only do them in the afternoon (spinal cord will handle it better). You can cause yourself alot of problems.Health Question & Answer
