Question: What to do at home.?.?.?.? 2 points! .?
ok, so im over weight... and im trying to lose weight the HEALTHY way. no pills, no crash diets, ect... i do some simple exercises like crunches, squats, weights, ect... but it's not enough. i do dvd's sometimes too... i want to look good and be able to wear a swim suite next summer. i weigh 174 right now and want to be about 120-130 by next may-june.
what has helped you.?.?.?

Do some running too. Or jogging or running for a start. Dont forget to stretch before and after work outs. Eat fruit and veg. Veg helps make u fuller faster plus its good for you. Drink atleast 6 glasses a water a day. NO JUNK FOOD. espically pop. It makes you look fatter then you really are making you bloated for a couple of days.
Join an activity like dancing ,kick boxing, yoga, etc. i dont think you can get their by june maybe july- aug. Remember to intake ATLEAST 1200 cals a day and lose atleast 500 more then you intake.
intake 1200 lose 1700. 500 a day ; makes 3500 a week; which makes a 1lb a week ( some times 2)
But dont lose more then 1 or 2 lbs a week. Unhealthy.
Be patient too it will take around a month or 2 until you notice changes . and it might be a hard month or 2. But after that you will be alright and will notice and will feel great.

Drink water all throughout the day, eat 4-5 small meals instead of 2-3 larger meals, and exercise AT LEAST 20 minutes for AT LEAST 4 days a week. I suggest starting the day off with a good work out. I also use dvd's at home and find the more aerobic based ones most effective for weight loss. Stay away from anything with caffeine...and replace it with water! I make homemade smoothies using fresh or frozen fruit and add no extra sugar. For instance, I add frozen strawberries, a banana, and apple juice to the blender...a little ice...blend...and yum! It's good to make them and put a little in several cups and freeze them so they are available whenever you decide you need a quick snack (or I have them for one of my small meals sometimes). If you need to add a little sugar at first, that's okay (I did), but slowly take away more of the sugar. Eventually, you won't want the added sweeteners. for me well, i weighed 138 at the age of 15! i ran every morning for about three months, crunches, ludges(im in soccer so they were useful) and their useful to get a nice bottom ;) and sets of sprints and push-ups, i know, alot, and that was all before school ! but i lost 6 lbs which was great! and i gained muscle so that was wayy better:) if you dont like running, then dont make yourself coz' then exercise wont be fun and you'll end up not doing it, so do something fun and take dance classes :) hey i heard they work, one of my cousins was overweight and she lost tons of lbs, also biking is a real plus, brisk walking, swimming! swimming is a great workout, i did that last yr in school and wow, it helped sooo much:) change your eating habbits little a day, eat mor fruits and veggies, if you eat salads avoid ranch, i use lemon and salt instead, you can use vinegar also :) drink plenty of water, and just dont give up, write what you eat every day i heard it helps, and just be totally commited, and Good for you dont ever go on a crash diet or pills or whatever im sure you'll have a smashing body in no time =]Health Question & Answer

I like to use the elliptical machine for about 15 minutes, bike for 15 minutes, arms for 15 minutes (using enough weight that at the end of one 12 rep set I cannot physically do another) and legs the same as arms for 15 minutes. Drink lots of water, and Tea without sugar in it, mainly because you dont want the sugar. And walk. If you have a dog, take him/her for walks. Thats what I do. Make sure you are eating right. Snacks are fine as long as they are not bad for you. Try carrots instead of cookies, oranges instead of candy ect. Work out regularly, make sure its an even tone work out, and its getting every section of your body at some point. Otherwise you wont see the results at all. Your target is very realistic.I am trying a step machine for the time being and think it is good for those who can not go on walks everyday, in addition I go for walk three evenings. And if you really cant stand it, take up a sport you really enjoy. I started playing tennis, and now im pretty shaped up.

You have to exercise everyday!!! Then you have to watch what you are eating and the portions. Sometimes it will take a while before you will see results. This is not going to happen over night. You have to get the heart rate up. So if possible, running is the fastest way. If you are stuck at home, jump rope or a stair stepper will work as well. I got a cheap stair stepper for $40 at target.
