-- Eat 4-6 meals per day.
-- Each meal must include proteins and carbs.
-- Taper your carb intake such that you are low or fiberous carbs in the evening.
-- Focus on natural and complex carbs
-- Make sure that you get your good fats each day.
-- Keep up a resistance training schedule. As you put on more muscle mass, you are going to raise your metabolism to feed the additional muscle.
-- Keep your water intake up, you should aim for one gal per day

Your goal is not a difficult one, you just have to stay focused because your 7-10 months will fly by. All of the above is basic but if followed will work to achieve your goal and achieve permanent fat loss.

I've heard that adkins diet its similar to what I am doing.

Cut out from your diet all sugars (including Sodas and fruit)
Potatoes and carrots exclude from vegetables.
Flours like breaded chicken or fish. Don't eat the breads. not even in pizza or pasta.
Corn or corn syrup.
