Question: Healthy foods with lots of calories that won't make me feel sluggish.?
I need about 3,500 to 4,000 calories a day, so I need to eat a lot. If I eat less than that, I start to lose weight really easily. It sounds good, but it's not something I want because I want to gain weight.

If I eat something like a big burrito, I'll start feeling really heavy and tired. I want to eat foods that have lots of calories without slowing me down. Any ideas.?Health Question & Answer

You may have a wheat/gluten intolerance, which is causing the sluggish feeling.

I would suggest staying clear of gluten rich foods (breads, burrito wraps, tacos etc).

You can eat eggs fried in butter, bacon, well marbled steaks, ham, fried chicken, crab dipped in butter, cheese burger without the bun (or with if you feel okay with it), all kinds of cheeses, tuna salad with mayonnaise, etc. Be sure to eat at least three times a day, and have snacks in between if you can manage it.Health Question & Answer

Nuts - almonds, walnuts, cashews, peanuts. All loaded with omega3s and high in protein and healthy fats. Great energy without the heavy crash.

Cottage cheese. Good protein and longer digestion rate.

Whey protein powder mixed with milk and fruit. Eat one every 2 hrs.
