Question: I'm starting a 40 day fast, please help me with a couple of things.?
I just turned 13 i weight 100-104 lbs and i'm a christian. I feel like i have been unfaithful to god so i want to go on a 40 day fast to strengthen my relationship with god. Now i realize it is dangerous but i was wondering if you know how much weight i will lose.? (not doing it for weight purposes) and how thin will i get.? Last question is should i go to the doctor and ask about being monitored, thanks and please don't try to talk me out of it because i'm definitely doing it :)Health Question & Answer

As a Christian, who under different circumstances may support this, I cannot say that I do at this point in time, you seem to already be underweight or at the very age of in your weight range and a 40 day complete fast will destroy your body inside and out, it is extremely unlikely you will survive if you do it. I recommend finding another form of self sacrifice and repentance this is not the right way in most circumstances particularly for someone of your age and body composition.Health Question & Answer
At 13, what possibly could you have done as an afront to God that would already make you risk your life.? A 40 day fast would probably result in at least a 20 lb loss. That means you are not only reducing your body weight by 20%, but you are doing it at a time when your body is trying to do the opposite and GROW. Meaning you are just shy of committing suicide. Last I heard, God doesn't approve of that.
WWJD.? Starve himself at 13.? Even he didn't begin his preachings until he was over 30. Why would you feel the need to rob your god of a strong soldier by harming yourself before you can become a full grown soldier of your god.?

Before you start ask god if he wants you to die fasting.
I think its the other way round.
If you want to get closer to god do hes work.
Start a help group...Feed the hungry... start a youth bible study..
Do a little of the stuff to help other people learn about god.
