Soccer, enough Cardio?!

Question: Soccer, enough Cardio.?
Ive always had this simple question. If cardio is proportional to how much work you put out, is playing 2 hours of soccer one day a week equivalent to jogging 30 minutes a day, 4 days a week.?

Im trying to get a six pack for next summer, 20 years old, probably around 10-20 pounds more then i should be.

I enjoy going to the gym 4 times a week, but jogging is soooo boring....will soccer be enough assuming my diet is healthy (1500 calories a day, average metabolism).?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
No it doesn't work that way any more than having 7 beers on Saturday night is equal to one beer a day or eating one big meal at night is equal to 3 healthy meals throughout the day.

When you do cardio it pumps up your metabolism for up to 24 hours after you work out. You only get that lingering benefit once a week if you only work out once a week. That's great that you get a long workout, but give your body those workout benefits throughout the week.

Don't run or jog if you hate it. Find something that is fun for you. Walking is great exercise. Play basketball or go swimming. bike. If it's something you like, you'll stick with it longer. Maybe you need a work out partner. that can motivate you and make things more fun.

Good luck! Health Question & Answer

almost. You can't knock out a week's worth of cardio in one sitting. I wish. I hate running also.

If you are going to the gym, you can combine weights with cardio by doing circuits or crossfit. This will have a HUGE impact on your shape.Health Question & Answer

Soccer is a good workout but i reckon you should also try to get out for a jog a couple of times a week. If you want a 6 pack jogging isn't that great, get into some sit ups too.Health Question & Answer
