I'm 13.5 yr old girl, 95-100 lbs, 5' 1.5" or 2", and usually im not that active. can you provide with a sample of a day's worth of meals, like how much i should eat.? Please be specific as possibleHealth Question & Answer

You shouldn't be worrying about dieting, you're very petite!
BUT! To be healthy... eat only organic foods! Organic foods are those that do not have harmful chemicals in them. Lots of fruits, vegetables, and plenty of water. Ignore fad diets that say "stay away from carbs" and all of that stuff. It's unhealthy.
Contrary to the food pyramid, you do NOT need meat or dairy products in your diet! You can get protein from plenty of other foods, including Soy!
You should eat 1500-2000 calories daily. Increase them if you're active!
NEVER go below 1000 calories, it's dangerous.
Shop at Trader Joes or a local health food store to buy organic foods.

The guideline for an adult is 2000 cals, so at your age you should be eating around 1500. It depends on whether you want to lose weight. 1000 cals is a typical weightloss calorie intake. But just eating normally, you want to eat three meals and two snacks of fruit, but don't not eat treats as you do need some of the fats in them, just not often.

For breakfast you could eat cereal with semi skimmed milk, as whole milk is generally for young growing children,

For lunch you may want to eat soup or salad or a brown bread sandwhich with a filling like cooked meats or tuna fish,

and for dinner you may want to eat vegetables with chicken or occasionaly red meats, or fish. For dessert you may want yoghurt.

Snacks can be apples, grapes, or any other fruit or cereal snack bar you like.

This sounds quite healthy- there are some tips to go with it- eat when you're hungry and stop when you're full. It really works! Hope this helps :D xxxxx

Youre not active.? You better start because you dont want to get fat. The older u get, the easier it will be and u will hate it. I am a dietician among several things.

A simple low calorie, low carb low fat low sugar diet. If u enjoy being lazy, you will have to watch your food consumption

Breakfast - 1 cup of oatmeal.... NO sugar added, a dash of cinnamon and use water, not milk. Half a grape fruit.

Mid morning snack. 2 carrot sticks and a few apple silces.

Lunch - 8oz Chicken breast, no skin and 1/2 cup of cooked brown rice.
1 bannana

Mid Day snack 2 celery stalks

Dinner - 10 oz of Orange Ruffy whitefish. 1 cup of steamed brocoli, 1/2 cup of baked Yams.

This is a specific diet. Do NOT ADD ANYTHING... no salt sauce etc...
If you exercise and stick to a diet like this, you can actually incorporate more food and fattier foods actually, and get ripped and shredded.

One of the biggest LIES is eating 3 meals a day is healthy. Wrong, Eating 5-6 smaller meals throughout the day keeps your metabolism hot and working constantly. Which will basically " burn" easier and faster.

This is whats known as a " Food for Fuel" Diet" Its bland and no fun. So my advice to you and everyone is to just exercise. And you will be able to enjoy food. Health Question & Answer
