Can someone help me set up a military training programme?!


Question: Can someone help me set up a military training programme.?
I want to be both pysically and mentally fit as i want to join the military in about 2 years time. can someone give me a basic guide to what i need to do to acheive this.?Health Question & Answer

Yeah, Im ex infantry.

The most important thing is your cardio phys. Basic requirements need you to run a mile and a half in around 10 mins (depending on the reg. you go in) and sustain a half hour run whilst being able to talk.

Basic upper body strength is important too, 3 sets of 12 pull ups, push ups and sit ups are a bare minimum.

Obviously if you can do more, the easier it will be for you.

The most demanding thing is the 10 mile yomp! But basic training will prepare you for that.

Just do a lot of cardio, run, run and run some more. Do some swimming/cycling, then run again.

And do as much strength training as possible, build yourself up slowly.Health Question & Answer

Go to a bookshop and buy the Royal Marines fitness book. ( I think that is the title) You will be as fit as a butchers dog if you follow that books routine.Health Question & Answer
