ok i am 5.1 and i weigh 84 pounds though, my family is very skinny (very) but i dont feel comfortable looking that way and i wanna change it. You can see my ribs easily when i wear a swimming suit so i was wondering how to gain some pounds in a healthy way. i have read many answers to .?s similar to mine and i no junk food isnt the answer and i no meats and nuts are good but i want a LIST of things i can eat to make me gain alot of weight. i am an irish dance so i do get a very well workout but i really need your help! please take my .? seriously thank you - sexy beastHealth Question & Answer

Here's a list of non-junk food that might help you gain weight:

Whole milk
Yogurt (4% milkfat minimum)
Cottage cheese (4% milkfat minimum)
Eggs
Turkey bacon
Juice (100% fruit--high in calories and fructose, but has good vitamins)
Increase your carbohydrate intake. If you are not exercising regularly, your body will likely store the carbs as fat.
Macaroni and cheese
Chicken alfredo (talk about fattening!)
Lasagna
Pretty much anything italian!
