I am trying to loose weight also and this is what I do
Drink 16 ounces of water as soon as you wake up in the morning
along with 50 crunches
Drink green tea and loads of water throughout the day
Caffeine is good in moderation
Eat lots of fiber such as all bran cereals, broccoli, carrots, lentils, salads
Eat spicy foods such as hot salsa, chile, peppers...anything spicy will speed the metabolism
Eat eggs at least 3 days a week. I suggest an egg white omelet with fat free cheese and scrambled with veggies. low fat and eggs are proven to help boost the metabolism
Lastly try and get some exercise at least 30 mins a day even if it is just walking.

best of luck to you : )Health Question & Answer

At 1 pound per week of weight (fat) loss, that is a very realistic goal. I would stick with 4-6 cardio sessions per week at 30-40 minutes each. Smaller portions will help and the no soda thing is a great idea. If you really want to kick it in gear, don't just concentrate on the number. It's more about your body composition than your weight. Do you know that cardio burns fat, and that's great but it really doesn't elevate your metabolic rate which is crucial for long-term weight loss. If you want to change your shape in addition to your weight, you need a resistance training program. As odd as it may sound, building muscle will help you get slim and firm. Muscle eats away at fat even at rest and muscle is responsible for changing or transforming your shape which I'm positive you are interested in. Protein and meal timing will pay a huge role as well. I would suggest a cleansing diet. I lost 12 pounds in 9 days and then 28 pounds in less than a month. I also lost a lot of inches too! I learned that cleansing will help the body get rid of toxins. Toxins come from a lot of things like fast food, pollution, food additives and preservatives and lots of other things. The toxins get stored in the fat in our body. To get rid of the fat, we have to get rid of the toxins by cleansing the body. This made sense to me and I decided to try a cleanse program and it worked. The weight came off fast and this kept me motivated to keep going, not like other diets where the weight loss it too slow. I did Jenny Craig, Weight Watcher and Medifast. Health Question & Answer

Take out white pastas, breads, rice, carbs out of your diet.
Switch to wheat/whole grain.
also at dinner, try to have more veggies than meat. and more meat then carbs.
also drink about 8 glasses of water a day.
also, if you drink any type of hot drink in the morning, like tea or coffee. Make it at home yourself, instead or stopping at Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks, it will save alot of calories.

Hope this helps!

Here's some weight loss tip's which you can do everyday:

- Exercise 6 to 7 days a week.

- And try to break your workout into two different sessions, this gives your metabolism a jolt.

- Drink 6 to 8 cups of water a day. And try to drink ice cold water, it burns more calories.

- Take enough vitamins, especially ones that promote weight loss (such as 1800 mg. of Fish Oil, Vitamin B Complex, Co-enzyme Q-10, ect. Do your research).

- Drink green tea or take green tea pills ( it's been shown to speed up your metabolism).

- For your metabolism's sake, eat within 1 hour of waking up and don't eat 3 hours before you go to bed.

- Try a vegan or vegetarian diet (it worked for me :D).

- Drink 12 oz. of warm lemon water (use the juice of 1/2 a lemon) with a little sea salt every morning. This will detoxify your body and make your skin look amazing.

- Or, if giving up meat just isn't your thing, just count calories. Try to have around 1200 a day.

- Try to avoid white, bleached, or enriched flour.

- Stay away from high fructose corn syrup and hydrogenated oils.

- Eat every 2 to 4 hours to keep your metabolism going.

- Eat 5 to 6 small meals a day to keep your metabolism up.

- Try to get 6 to 8 hours of sleep. When your body is deprived of sleep your appiteite increases by 15%.

- Sugar and artificial sweeteners are the devil. If you have a sweet tooth, grab some fruit.

- Avoid all junk food, fast food, and fried food.

- Try only drinking water, tea, and black coffee. There are so many hidden calories in drinks.

- Eat whole grain foods and healthy fats (like olives, avacados, nuts, ect) and stay away from refined or "bad" carbs.Health Question & Answer
