There are a ton of different types of muscle fibers going from Type1 (slow twitch) to Type2b (fast twitch) and up to 7 intermediates in between. But none of them are "bulky" or "lean"
All those people that post about wanting to "get toned" or "get lean" or something are asking about a final product image and are using the wrong terms.
Muscle is muscle. If you have lots and lots of muscle fibers you start looking a bit bulky. If you have a moderate amount of muscle fiber then you look normal. Take a moderate amount of muscle and get under 12% body fat and you start looking lean. Have a ton of muscle and get under 8% body fat and you look like a body builder.
