Will I lose weight eating this?!

Question: Will I lose weight eating this.?
I don't care if it's healthy- it's only short term, as I need to lose a bit weight for a xmas ball.

Breakfast- nutrigrain bar (cereal bar)
Lunch- Packet of quavers, packet maltesers
Dinner- Low fat ready meal

I have put chocolate in there, because I just can't give it up,lol.
Do you think i'll lose weight if I stick at this.? Please don't go into an essay about why it's not healthy bla bla blaHealth Question & Answer

If you can stick to it, you will lose weight, but I don't think you will be physically fit to go to the ball.
I seriously doubt you can stick to a meal plan like that.
It might be easier to deal with the emotional issues that have led you to such extreme measures.

I've been fat and I've been thin, it hasn't made any difference to my social life. The one thing that improved my social life is forgetting my own problems and talking to others about theirs.Health Question & Answer

You need to eat more that 1,200 calories otherwise you won't lose weight quickly. Basically, if you eat less then that, your body will go into conservation mode and any weight loss will be reduced. So aim for 1,200-1,300 calories of a good mixture of food; have your chocolate, but make sure that there are some vegetables and other healthy foods in there.

This isn't sustainable - though it sounds like you know that already.

Eat lost of lettice, cucumber, etc. These are very low in calorific value.

try exercising as well; or at least being more active. Even just walking instead of going somewhere by bus or car.Health Question & Answer

You are right it is not healthy. It is too much sugar which could cause other health problems. Ditch the cereal bar and have plain porridge with a sliced banana. The quavers are junk, have an apple instead. The ready meal will have a high salt content. Buy a few chicken breasts and cook as follows. Wrap one breast in foil and add some sliced carrot, peas, and or courgette. Add some lemon juice or a spot of wine and cook at about 150dgC for 20 minutes.
Do these things along with some walking and you will lose weight. also drink plenty of water as this will stop you feeling hungry and maintain your hydration. Health Question & Answer

Change your breakfast to fruit, or nuts and natural yoghurt. Lunch, you need something more sustainable, you'll only end up snacking on silly foods. Dinner, steam steam steam. Fish, Eggs, Poultry. The low fat ready meal is full of salt, which will absorb water, which ain't good for loosing weight, if you load up on proteins, beans, meat, you'll be less likely to pick on foods. and the main thing, drink water water water water water.Health Question & Answer

Yes, I would think you would lose weight. You don't want (or need) us to tell you it might not be the most orthodox or healthy route, but ultimately if you are talking purely weight loss, it's a very simple formula.
Regardless of what kind of food (salad, chocolate or deep-friend lard, if you want) as long as the total calorie intake is lower than the total calories expended you will lose weight. End of story.Health Question & Answer

I am not advocating this, I am just being honest about what I did:
When I was 17 I wanted to lose weight but as a complete chocoholic found it impossible to swap Mars bars for sweetcorn and couscous. Instead I ate nothing except chocolate but I limited myself to two chocolate bars a day so my daily calories were only ever 500-700. I lost lots of weight.
Again, I don't advocate it, I am merely confirming that yes, you will still lose weight.Health Question & Answer

No, not really. Cereal bars aren't all that great because they contain fat. Maltesers are chocolate and are full of sugar and low fat meals are not low in fat. Don't believe what you read on the packet. It's misleading in most cases.

Drink plenty of water, eat lots of fruit and vegies and exercise on a daily basis. You will lose weight with this diet.Health Question & Answer

Yep, you'll lose weight, but you'd be better off choosing healthier foods... like crisps and chocolate for lunch.? What about a brown bread salad sandwich, which has around the same number of cals, possibly less. Or have dark chocolate instead of milk, it's impossible to over-eat on that stuff and it tastes a heck of a lot nicer (imo).
So yeah, you will lose weight, make sure you drink a lot of water, that'll help too.
Good luckHealth Question & Answer

You have to have a much bigger breakfast and add a snack or 2 in there.....Yes you will lose weight, but once you stop it will come back again. Baby steps are the key to losing weight, and keeping it off....but if its temporary you will lose even more weight if you add in exercise.Health Question & Answer
