I started my diet about 3 weeks ago?!

Question: I started my diet about 3 weeks ago.?
and so far Ive lost 11 lbs. I just started exercising yesterday, so I did 100 crunches, 50 squats, 10 sets of 10 small hand weights and 40 mins on my elliptical machine and afetrwards I felt really weak and dizzy. my boyfriend told me to have a slice of bread so I did and felt better. Why did this happen.? I had eaten 1200 cals for the last 3 weeks and really dont want to eat much more than that since I have a lot of weight to lose so what can I do to prevent myself from being sick after workouts.?Health Question & Answer

First off congrats on the weight loss. Good for you. A reason that you felt sick after working out is because you are not eating enough. You were fine on 1200 calories without working out, so when you add in more activity, your body needs more fuel in order to work. If it doesn't have the fuel, you feel sick. Have a small snack before you work out that has carbs and protein and you should be good. I try to drink an 8oz cup of skim milk before I work out and that helps. And don't worry about it making you gain weight. You will work it off no problem.Health Question & Answer

I am on the wrestling team and I don't eat a lot but i don't feel weak after the workouts. Try this: Eat whatever, whenever on Sunday, sort of like your break day, and this way you can take it one week at a time. also make sure you have a big breakfast and your last meal is smallest. I don't know what and elliptical machine is, but 40 minutes is a while. Make sure you have calories left over after you workout so that your body can function normally (probably about 1,000). So, eat more.

also, if you have a boyfriend you're weight is probably fine!Health Question & Answer

Sounds like your dehydrated, I dont think the bread was a big issue, if your eating that many calories, but if your water intake is low, dizziness and weakness is a sign if dehydration.
Good Luck with the diet, sounds like your doing great.Health Question & Answer

This could be as a result of not eating enough. When managing your weight you should more focus on what you eat and make sure that your stomach is filled at each meal - not over filled. Hence what you should be doing is to eat more foods that are low in calories. What I have noticed is that persons sourcing their starch from pastas that are much higher in calories than complex carbohydrates such as yams, breadfruit, potatoes, dasheens, green bananas, cassava, (yuca, manioc, mogo or mandioca) etc.

Another thing is that I have noticed that many persons, for no good reason at all have eliminated beef from their diet. Beef is a very good source or iron and other minerals and is essential in preventing anemia and low blood pressure of which one symptom is dizziness.

It also could mean that not only that you are not eating enough overall, but you are not eating enough nutritious foods to prevent low blood pressure and anemia. also it is very important to include a lot of fluid in your diet - fresh home made fruit juices, fresh home made vegetable juices and water.

The amount of calories required varies from person to person. There is no need to worry about the amount of calories you consume as about eating the proper foods. Rotate your foods, and be sure to eat a variety of foods. Eat meals that consist of a balance of proteins, complex carbohydrates, and some fat. By eating balanced meals you get more steady blood sugar levels and the ability to burn stored body fat for long-term weight loss. Eat mainly plant proteins, such as nut, seeds, and grains.

Eat fresh fruits and an abundance of raw vegetables. Have one meal each day that consists entirely of vegetables and fruits. Use more low calorie vegetables such as broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery, cucumbers, green beans, kale, lettuce, onions, radishes, spinach, and turnips. Eat more of the low calorie, low-carbohydrate fruits including, apples, cantaloupe, grapefruit, strawberries, and watermelon.

Eat foods raw where possible. Drink 8
