Question: I get sick a lot with viruses and colds. Will going on a strict diet with vegetables and fish boost my .?
immune system.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
No because you won't be getting all the other nutrition you need.
Vegetables are great. You should eat them as often as you can. So is fish. But just eating those two foods will mean your not going to get all the protein and carbohydrates and calcium that a human needs. And your breath will forever reek of fish. Nobody likes fish breath. Try daily/ weekly exercise. It helps your heart and keeps your blood pumping. The healthier your heart is, the more immune you are to diseases, viruses and sicknesses. also get sleep because if your sleep deprived, you're less immune. You see, when you sleep, your whole body relaxes. If you don't get enough sleep, your body doesn't get enough relaxing time because its working. Therefore, your body becomes weak and tired. Too tired to fight back diseases. So stay healthy!Health Question & Answer

If you get sick a lot, you might just have a weak immune system in general. But foods with Vitamin C, zinc, pottasium, and essential fatty acids help boost your immune system.

Fun fact: strawberries and red bell peppers each have about twice as much vitamin C than oranges.Health Question & Answer

I think I'm having the same problem. For the past 6-8 months my eating has been really bad, I've gained weight, have less energy and have had about 4 colds since. I'm told it can be from eating poorly. I've also been told to try juicing fresh juices and take 1000mg of Vitamin C daily. Good luck to you, I know how you feel!! Health Question & Answer

Usually strict diets tend to limit your immune system. Balanced diets however, can be great for boosting it. Taking a multivitamin helps as well.Health Question & Answer
