Please tell me if I am overweight?!

Question: Please tell me if I am overweight.?
I weigh 234 pounds. I am only 14 and I am 5'8. I know that it isn't normal for a 14 year old to weigh that much, but I don't think that I look like I weigh that much. My family says that I am big boned, but I think that they are just saying that to make me feel better.Health Question & Answer

Everybody's different. It's not necessarily that you're big boned, but you might carry your weight differently, that's why BMI is so often wrong. Don't worry, I've seen pretty 100 pound girls, pretty 200 pound girls, and pretty 300 pound girls. Weight doesn't matter that much.Health Question & Answer

precious one -
I am 'big boned' and now I am also Diabetic 2

please get on a program to manage your weight

you do NOT want to take all these meds for this illness
and do NOT want to pay for them -

you lose your other insurabililties - like cancer policies for $7/mo
or cheap life insurance - - -

and once you have it - you are 'branded' for life

please get your weight under control

here's an idea (put your age as 18 on the calculator)

**************************************...
first start with the handy dandy calorie counter
to see what your daily needs are
http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/calorie...

now subtract 15% of those calories and set your diet plan

add 30 minutes of walking 5 days a week
make sure your drink your water (1/2 oz per pound a day)
(add 8 oz of water for every 25 lbs overweight)
and when you plateau out - recheck you weight and calories
with the handy dandy Mayo Clinic tool (trusted name)
and reset 15% less again
