How fat is 150 pounds for a 15 year old?!

Question: How fat is 150 pounds for a 15 year old.?
I'm currently 178 pounds and 5'5." When I started weight watchers in May, I was 195 pounds. I got down to about 170 pounds in August, but at the beginning of September, I gradually relapsed and gained the 8 pounds. I started back on my diet today, and am trying to set my goal weight. Would 150 pounds look fat.? I know I won't be skinny, but will I look healthy or fat.? What about 140.? What SHOULD I make my goal be.? How much does a size 10 weigh.? 8.? 6.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Congratulations on your started progress. Even the first fifteen or ten pounds is a good start. A healthy weight for someone who is your height can definitely range, depending on your muscle mass, or bone structure (frame). On a BMI chart, someone who is 5'5" should be atleast 115-140 pounds. It all depends on your personal characteristics.

I'm a size 8, but I work out on a daily basis. I just have wider hips, yet I can run several miles. I wouldn't say size is all about fat--it's mostly your frame. If you want an example, I could send you a picture.

My weight (an example):
165 lbs, a size 11.
145 lbs, a size 7-8.

I have a lots of muscle, and this could be measured by a body-fat indicator (it's this cool little tool that pinches your arm)

Good luck on your journey!Health Question & Answer

Check your Body Mass Index:

Its not dependent on your age, but to do with the ratio of mass to height.
