Question: Need help with weight gain.? recent high school graduate.?
so i recently graduated high school, and all through grades 9-12, i could eat whatever i wanted, and still stay at an even 125 lbs (i'm 5'8). But now I've graduated and I'm going to college, and it seems that my stomach is getting kinda flabby. My metabolism is down the drain :( the thing is, I still live with my parents and they refuse to buy healthier, tasty snack foods. I'm a student. so i can't afford my own groceries. I don't want to flat out diet, because i'm still fairly thin, i just want to loose some pounds off my stomach and prevent more from adding on and making me fat. What should I do.? I'm used to snacking all the time, so are there any yummy snack foods that are okay to snack on pretty much anytime.? What exercises can I do to make my middle flatter and more toned.? thanks so much for ANY suggestions =D Health Question & Answer

jogging is an excellent exercise because it let you lose weight
evenly throughout your whole body. If you want to lose weight in
specific areas, you should target them with exercises. If they are
your problem areas, they will be very difficult to tone. You will have
to work double on them. The best approach is this:
1. Lower/control your daily calorie intake (control for normal
weight, lower for overweight).
2. Run/jog to lower your overall body fat percentage.
3. Target your problem areas with exercises.
an excellent exercise, you can do it in front of your TV: sit on a
stool, and put your toes under something (piece of heavy furniture,
for example). In your hands hold a little dumbbell. Please, make sure
that it is not very heavy, start with one kilo, for example, or you
will damage your back and spine! Slowly move the upper part of your
body back, until it's parallel with the ground. Stop for a second and
move it back to the sitting position. Repeat ten times. Every week add
to the number of repetitions. You will see the results in a week,
guaranteed! You will see or feel under the fat - if you have any - six
pack and muscles. Dumbbells do wonders. Much better than these
crunches - I came up to three hundreds and there was no results AT

see if you can use your college gym. if so, walk on the treadmill or ride the bike for 30 minutes. get a good warm-up then do crunches. don't rush them. hold them for a second to start then try holding for 2 and so on. you'll feel the workout all day long.Health Question & Answer
