I've found that running for 50 minutes straight takes off a lot more weight than interval running, switching off between running and walking for 90 minutes. Switching off is much more reasonable because it prevents the knees from getting excessive shock and also keeps the feet from hurting. But you'll gain a lot more weight from interval running than you will from running without breaks. It has to be because you keep your pulse at well over 100 with no letup by running while by switching off from running to walking every five minutes your pulse gets too low to burn calories and fat. Ok. You are doing interval training the pussy way. Instead of doing walking and running, do FULL OUT SPRINTING, and jogging. U can do this for shorter amounts of time and its more effective.Health Question & Answer

Interval running is better for you because it allows your body to rest, then just when it thinks it's getting a break you push it again.

It confuses your body, putting it out of it's confort zone and helps with fitness and weight loss, especially for those who aren't able to run 50 minute straight.Health Question & Answer
