If you need weight gain, eat high quality meats and cheeses, whole milk, not skim, peanut butter and jelly, drink liquid meals in addition to regular meals, add Boost or Ensure, eat snacks between meals. If unable to gain or maintain wt, could consider a malabsorption problem or at worst, parasitic- tapeworm. Can be diagnosed via IgE levels or visual exam of BM.

I also wanted to correct an answer I had given you several weeks ago re you or your child's runny nose and eyes tearing. The correct medication with a Rx is Ipratropium.03% not atrovent, and Zatidor is the same eyedrops can be purchased at Walmart. I didn't have anyway to contact you as you do not have e mail. If we had more information on why you want to put on weight, over how long, what kind of weight etc then we might be able to answer this question. If you want to be fatter then eat more. eat at least 3000-3500 calories per day... don't eat junk!!! it doesn't help (heck it ate up my weight!! i lost some weight due to eating junks... somehow it absorbed my nutritions><)Health Question & Answer
