Well I am not sure how many sit-ups it would take but probably a lot and quite a bit of time. The best thing to do is eat healthy and do more than just sit-ups as a work out. You can't spot-treat your body. Meaning, your abs will not get hard if all you do is sit ups. You have to do cardio too. Walking, running, jogging PLUS your sit ups, like start with 30 a day for a few days and go up from there to 100 a day if you can. You have to find your own routine. But, anyone who knows anything will tell you that you need to do CARDIO in addition to the situps if you want results.

best thing to do is to just do let's say, start out with 50, every morning.
Eat alot of protein, and vegetables, and fruit.
What you want to do is to build muscle tone, not have your ab muscles get bigger, so you have to do them every day!
You keep working them out so they don't get rest, so they don't repair bigger, just tone up, that's what abs are.
Protein is basically muscle, and abs are muscle, just toned up muscle.
Eat your vegetables and fruit to keep your system cleansed out so fat doesn't store up in your body.
One time every week you have to take a free day, meaning you have to eat whatever the hell you want, so your body doesn't fear that you will starve it with food it doesn't like, so if you let it know this, your body will let go of fat quickly and easily.

this gives you abs.. but tight abs just means strengthening the muscle. Even a layer of fat would mean you can't even see them, you woud have to do cardio to lose the fat too, then you wil tone up pretty quickly.

I think it's just not how many you do, it's how often you do it. Working out every day for like thirty minutes could get you abs I think. I'm not the best answer material, but I think just keeping it as routine will help. I'm sorry I can't give an exact number.Health Question & Answer

your abs need to be under stress for a long time though. and also you need to be consistant and not miss a day.

any workout that burns the abs will be good, but also eating is half the battle. so hit the workout without missing a day and eat healthy ad get those abs
