Question: How many times to lift dumbbells and how many situp and push to do.? .?
14 years old i weigh 126 and my dumbbells weigh 25 and i do 100 sit ups and i do 40 or 50 push upsHealth Question & Answer

a good rule of thumb is 3 reps of 10 -15. and increse ur weight until that amount is pushing u on ur last rep. sit ups do asmany as u can but dont kill urself. and same with push ups. Health Question & Answer

It's not always the number it can be how you do them. 14 years old is a good time to start weights. Start with barbells instead of dumbbells because the latter are more for definition then strength. 100 sit-ups is a good number but start by doing crunches. 50 push-ups is also good and it appears your pretty strong right now for your age and weight. your too young to do weights, start with running and swimming, if you do weights now it will destroy your joints/bones because the muscle builds around the joint and when the joint/bone tries to grow it will get compacted by the muscle that is built on top of it, the best time to start weights is when your body has reached its potential, around 16/17

if you want to get bigger you wanna do more weight and less reps, for sit ups try to put your hands farther apart or more narrow to make them harder, you can also put your feet up on a couch or somethin for somemore change
