What is the difference between Yoga and Pilates?!


Question: What is the difference between Yoga and Pilates.?
And do either of them help to lose weight and build muscle.?

Answers:
Yoga mainly focuses on mainly more meditation and breathing exercises. Between flexibility and harmonic balancing throughout your body. Exercises that are done goes through a much slower paced than Pilates. Pilates focus on mainly to tone your body and making you become more flexible and stronger. It's more of toning thighs, butts, abs, etc. A little faster pace than yoga and it burns much more calories. Yoga helps with flexibility and better consistent breathing, Pilates just help make you become a little stronger. Strong comes from working and lifting weights. Neither pilates or yoga will help lose weight. Losing weight comes from dieting and burning calories and sweating, therefore these won't do much.

A few semesters ago, I took pilates, weight training, and a jogging class all in one day. That helped lose weight. Health Question & Answer
