yea you shouldn't being doing heavy workouts with weights. Since you are doing basketball and are only 5ft 4. Work on CONDITIONING CONDITIONING and more CONDITIONING! Working on your muscles that much on your height and age will just slow you down if your not a big guy down in the post.Health Question & Answer

ok, im 14 and im about 6'0 i weigh about 180 pounds. ive been playing hockey since ive been 6. my trainer says ur body has to get used to lifting. NEVER go from 5 pounds to 100 in a day. start wit ur legs and move up. eat more. dnt start lifting till ur about 110-115 pounds. eat more protian and eat lots of mangos or pears. they help. try to drink more those nasty shakes for muscles.
btw, be careful wen u work on ur shoulders and lower back. ull be healthier in the long run.Health Question & Answer

No that wouldn't do anything to your growth.
When I was in basketball I did squats, skipping, fall outs with dung bells, bicep exercises, and tripcep exercises.
Ran for 30 mins. or more straight.Health Question & Answer

Why not try push ups, pull ups, and sit ups. You can do these every day. also, increase the amount of calories you consume. That will increase your weight.Health Question & Answer

If I were you I would eat a lot and mainly focus on exercises that mostly focus on using your own body weight instead of free weights. Some examples would be push ups, sit ups, pull ups, frog hops...all of that stuffHealth Question & Answer

You'll be stunning your growth if you lift weights at this point in your life. Do push ups instead.Health Question & Answer
