What do antioxidants do and what happens if I take too much of it?!


Question: What do antioxidants do and what happens if I take too much of it.?
I drank about 55 ounces of tea that had about 80mg of antioxidants in every 16 ounces, so basically i drank 300 g of antioxidant.

I have a fever currently, and I was wondering what are the effects of it.Health Question & Answer

I don' think there are negative side effects to too much anti oxidants. Antioxidants get rid of the 'free radicals' in your system. A free radical is created by things you eat/drink your body doesn't need. (Bad stuff) And in most cases antioxidants are in things that are natural and good for you (blue berry's, dark chocolate), maybe you're sick.?Health Question & Answer

The chinese drink a lot of green tea (real green tea) and they have a higher longevity than americans I don't think anything bad will happen with too much. Well many different things may happen. Most likely you will just have diharreah or something like that. You may feel a bit nausious but i really dont anything anything too serious will happen. Get some sleep... to help drain to overdose of antioxidents. Feel Better!!Health Question & Answer
