Question: Diet help...Is my current way of eating ok or should i change it.? Low fat high carb .?
I have been eating what i called healthy for over a year now and i am finally beginning to see some result but not a lot, every now and then i track what i have eat for a week or two to see where i am and each time my daily grams of fat are low avg is 30 and the carbs is high for example yesterday was
1604 cals
24 g fat
401 g carbs
39 g protein

and the day before that
1826 cals
32 g fats
374 g carbs
40 g protein

I have a huge problem with the atkins diet, and i have tried a host of other things and the food that i eat now is very healthy fruits veggie lots of fiber fat free foods turkey wheat bread and on such
when i do the calculations for how much i am supposed to eat to lose weight it tells me under 284 carbs, but i find that impossible with out starving myself
has anyone ever had success by eating low fat and a lightly high carb intake.?Health Question & Answer

Far too mucc carbonhydrate, not enough fat. If you deny your body fat, it will hold on to all your fat stores. also, far too little protein, it is essential for muscle growth and repair. If you're looking for an 1800kcal a day diet, go for something like:

140g protein
140g carbs
70g fat

Total = 1750 calories
