What's the best way for a 13-year-old to lose weight and build muscle?!

Question: What's the best way for a 13-year-old to lose weight and build muscle.?
I'm about 5'1" or 5'2". I'm 120-130 lbs. (for some reason, different days vary).

I'm mostly trying to lose fat and build muscle in my chest. Abs wouldn't hurt too, but that's less important at the moment. I have a pool in my backyard, but that's about it. I play sports for my school, but I can't play any other time due to family issues. also, they only go on for about a month or two.Health Question & Answer

You're too young to build however toning is safe and works well with the losing fat part. You can do this by super setting your sets which means no rest between sets. The only exercise that will tone your chest without weight training is the push up. Do them every other day super setting. You can use your abs for the alternate super set exercise.

For example,
Do a set of xx push ups
Immediately do a set of abs either leg raises or crunches
Immediately do a set of xx push ups
NO REST between sets

Keep that up for about 15-20 minutes and you will get good tone and crank up your metabolism as well so you will keep burning fat even while resting.Health Question & Answer

id wait a couple more years before you weight lift. but other than that there are plenty of workouts in the time being to stay. simple things like push ups and pull ups and swimming is great. swimming is great for cardio. play sports and stay active. eat right.Health Question & Answer
