Is carbonated water okay for weight loss?!

Question: Is carbonated water okay for weight loss.?
I've been pretty much drinking ONLY carbonated flavored water for drinks, aside from the occasional glass of wine once or twice a week.

I'm trying to lose weight, but even if I weren't I actually really enjoy this water. Is this okay for weight loss.? It says 0 calories, 0 sugar -- 0 everything, actually. However, once I read that carbonation turns into sugar once your body processes it so it's not good to have too much of it.

Is this true, or am I doing a good thing by drinking this carbonated water.?

Thanks!Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Yes it is. Water is water. Fizz is just fizz and you'll just burp or other evacuate the stuff eventually.

You are not a plant. You cannot turn carbon dioxide into sugar. I PROMISE you. I am a PhD chemist with a degree in biochemistry. Whoever told you that either thinks you are moss lady or is simply ignorant.Health Question & Answer

I'm not a chemist but it doesn't sound reasonable to assume that carbonated water converts into sugar in the body. Carbonated water is water charged with carbon dioxide. The carbon dioxide becomes carbonic acid.

Carbonic acid is the main erosive force on rocks in nature. Several studies have shown that carbonated water has no direct effect on tooth decay or bone health but there are many indications that it will affect the acidity of the blood (no your blood wont turn into acid, but the systems which control the ph of the blood will be thrown out of whack).

If it helps you with your diet drink it. It's not gonna hurt you as much as drinking coke, and we should all have a luxury.Health Question & Answer

I tried everything to lose weight, and nothing worked until I tried acai berry. I know they say that pills do not work, but they definitely worked for me, and they've been shown on CBS News too. There's a free trial on right now at http://jugrass.esomnio.com , why not try it, how worse could it make things.?Health Question & Answer

Lies. Carbonation is simply water with gases in it. It bubbles up from the gas. There are still no calories and no fat. It has the same dietary properties as water (none).

You're fine drinking it. It will not affect you.Health Question & Answer

Nope. Try sky juice, plain water. cheaper and healthier
