You probably only have loose skin....so no, sit ups won't help. Best thing to do is be as healthy as you can be without stressing out. Enjoy your baby and pop the mid drift tops away for a year or so.

I was 30 when I had my first child and the saggy skin took about 3 years to completely disappear. Losing weight helped flatten my stomach but the stretched skin stayed stretched until it was ready to come back to me. I'm still waiting for it to come back after my second baby...he's 3, but I'm overweight. Good diet and regular exercise are the only answers there.

It's all about balance. At the end of the day, you're most likely the only one who even notices it, let alone worries about it.Health Question & Answer

If you mean there is a bit of pooch at the bikini undie waistline level- yes, it means you are pretty much stuck with it. It's a mommy pooch, created by the skin that didn't quite snap back afterwards. Sit ups only tone muscle, they don't do anything for the birthday suit unfortunately. It's one of the medals of motherhood, along with the slightly wider hips, that is a permanent change in the figure. It stinks, but there you are. At least the prize is worth it. To help keep it in control if you should happen to add a brother or sister, be sure to keep your belly well lubricated all during your pregnancy with a collagen based lotion. That isn't a miracle but it helps preserve some of the snap in the suit. My sympathys, but at least you know you have the conmpany of every mom in the world.Health Question & Answer

Targetted weight loss is quite hard, many people would say impossible, nevertheless the one method that clearly showed results for me was wu-yi tea, it can be checked out in the resource box underneath, they have a small number of free trials in stock, it has been featured in Reader's Digest and USA Today. I lost 30 pounds, it clearly does work!Health Question & Answer
