It's not all about "calories in VS calories out" is it?!

Question: It's not all about "calories in VS calories out" is it.?
If you consume over the course of a day, either 1500 worth of cheese cake or 1500 worth of orange softdrink, surely your body will give you less of a chance to burn the calories from the cheese cake, and more time to burn the calories from the soft drink because it would have to convert it to body fat, and cheese cake would convert much more easily ... right.?Health Question & Answer

i understand what your saying. I watched a show a while ago (sorry i cant remember what it was) which said that they got a pair of twins to eat the same amount of calories a day - i think like 2000. But one ate junk food and one ate really healthy food. And the one who ate junk food gained weight even tho it was the same amount of calories.Health Question & Answer

No one is saying you would be healthy. *lol* But yes, the average person will burn 1500 a day just sitting there. also, 1500 is a good number to keep you form starving yourself. You can eat 1500 calories in twinkies and you will stay the same weight, that doesn't mean that a heart attack isn't around the corner or a huge insulin shot but yes. Calories in must not exceed calories out. That's it.

The key is to find out how many calories your body needs. If you are very active then maybe you need 1800, or if not so active 1200. Two people could consume the same diet of 1500 and one could gain because they only need 1200, ya know.?Health Question & Answer

1500 c of cheese cake is not a lot of cheese cake which will make you hungry very soon. But 1500 c of vegetables for example is a lot of vegetables! You'd have to eat all the time and there are SO many vitamins in them! So it's better to choose healthy foods anyway..Health Question & Answer
