Crunches every day??!

i do 900 crunches every day, been like 4 weeks
is it better to do crunches every OTHER day or no.?Health Question & Answer

If you cant see your abs (6-pack), then that means you have too much fat covering them. Crunches are worthless without doing some type of exercise that will burn your stomach fat. Try jogging for 30 minutes 4-5 times a week. This is called cardio, it helps your heart move faster and burns fat. I highly doubt you are doing 900 crunches a day. You shouldn't do that many because you can wind up with a serious hernia. Trust me you don't want that. But you should do maybe 100-200 crunches 3 times a week. Skip days because you need to give your body time to rebuild the muscles you are tearing or you will do more damage than good. Don't expect overnight results either.
These are things you have to do if you want to see improvements:
-Watch what you eat. Eat 6 small meals a day, and a big breakfast so you won't get cravings. You need 1000 calories a day.
-Drink nothing but water, stay away from juices and sodas because they are high in sugar. Sugar gets stored in your body as fat.
-Exercise before you eat to get your metabolism up to burn off the food you are about to eat.
-30-40 minute cardio, jogging, running, biking, swimming, etc.

I would suggest you do every day, but 900 is like too much; do atleast 300 man!!you may strain yourself. also I would suggest bicycle abs as it really tones the 6 pack.

900!! that could actually have a negative effect on ur abs!
abs are like any other muscle and need time to rest and grow. Abs dont get larger as u work them. they only grow wen u rest them. so i suggest doing more excercises that target all ur abs 3 or 4 times a week.Health Question & Answer

you can also do about 150 if you want to do crunches everyday.
