I went on a diet to years ago and I gained all of my weight back from depression and fast food.Health Question & Answer

don't go on an actual "diet"...what you need to do is eat the amount of calories that a person at the size you want to be does, that way you will train yourself to only eat that amount and to recognize when your body is full....if you can tell me how much you want to weigh, I can tell you how many calories you need to consume in a day (i will check back in a minute)

EDIT: ok well since you want to weigh 160 again, then you need to eat as if you are 160lbs....a guy who weighs 160 who is sedentary needs to eat 2255 calories a day....now what you should do is divide those calories between 3 meals and 2 to 3 snacks through out the day (making sure you eat every 2 to 3 hours to keep your metabolism up)....by eating that amount of calories, you will be able to lose weight without having to exercise or change the type of food you eat (although over time you could change it to healthier foods in order to lose weight faster and you could exercise over time in order to get tone)....

now since you are 211 pounds, you take in at least 2973 calories a day which is 718 calories more than a 160 pound person takes in...this means that you will lose at least a pound and a half a week without having to do anything but watch your caloric intake...and most likely you will lose quite a bit of weight in the first few weeks and then it will taper off to where you are losing 1.5 pounds a week after that until your body hits the 160 pound mark....

now if you start to change the type of food you consume to healthier options (but if you do, don't start until you have been watching your caloric intake for at least a month so that your body can get used to the new caloric amount) you will lose the weight a little faster and if you go on 30 minute walks everyday after that, you will lose the weight even faster and start to tone up.....

But like i said, all you need to do is eat 2255 calories divided up between 3 meals and 2 to 3 snacks, and you will lose the weight and keep it off....and so that you make sure you don't go over your caloric amount you can keep a food journal of everything you eat or you can keep track by entering it into an online calorie tracker (i have a link below for a good calorie tracking website)

It is feasible to lose weight fast but you should be realistic and take on board that if you lose weight quickly then you will almost certainly put it all back on again just as quickly.
