Question: I have lost motivation to go to the gym. Should i try some classes instead.?
I used to go to the gym regularly, at least 3 times a week, but i havnt been in a couple of months due to being away for the holidays and going back to school. I really want to get back into exercising but when I went last week I just found being on my own with the treadmill, elliptical boring. My gym offers 1 hour classes like kickbox cardio and step aerobics, so should I just try these instead.? Maybe having a set time to attend class will make me go.Health Question & Answer

Classes can be a great way to quickly pass the time. You don't have to think about what you're going to do because someone is telling you exactly what you need to be doing. I also found having a friend who goes with you can help. I never want to let them down, so that motivates me to go way more than if it was just for me!Health Question & Answer
It can't hurt. Honestly I can't stand to work out on my "own" too often. I regularly attend the classes at my gym and compete in some of the sport's leagues as a bulk of my membership. Hopefully your gym doesn't charge extra for most of their group fitness classes.Health Question & Answer
Absolutely. also, try finding a friend who will exercise with you. Making dates and commitments with somebody who is counting on you to be there will make you less likely to skip the gym. Classes will keep things fun and interesting, and you'll meet new people.Health Question & Answer
Yes. The same thing happen to me.I got sick of running, so i started taking classes. I really enjoyed taking the classes, and did it for about a few months, then I was ready to go back to running. Goood luck!Health Question & Answer
