What are some good exercises I could do inside.? I usually run outside (Gym too expensive). I am looking for both Cardio and Strength Training. I am joining the military so I need ideas. Possibly more cardio ideas. ThanksHealth Question & Answer


Answers:
There are pushups, pullups, squats, situps/crunches deadlifts, lunges...
Countless forms of variations of pushups... you can do them with your hand close together to work your triceps, apart to work more of your back/delts... Spiderman pushups, everytime you go down you bring one leg up to your shoulder... You can use an inflatable ball to balance your feet OR your hands on to make it hard..
Pullups, I'd get the iron gym, it's very handy and makes pullups kind of fun to do.. as well as chin-ups to give you strength in your biceps.. if you don't have the money, a tree or a doorframe would work
Situps/Crunches, self explanatory
Squats.. you can do these with your own body weight or just grab some dumbbells or a heavy object, hold it out in front of you or above you and do some..
Deadlifts.. Same, grab a heavy object and lift like a normal deadlift.. These should give you a total body workout..
Lunges, pretty much just grab something, like even a bookbag and stuff it full of books if you wanna add weight to any exercises.. That goes for pushups, squats, anything.. It'll rev up the intensity in your workout.. Even in cardio.. If you have some extra $, I'd shell out for a weighted vest..

Cardio.. Man, I love this stuff..
What I do is I either run stairs or if I don't have stairs I run with my knees pedaling above my waist for about 20 minutes.. It's awesome..
also, jumping rope is amazing.. why do you think pretty much every professional athlete uses those things.. boxers, mma, football, basketball, swimmers... speed, agility, coordination, endurance, ect, ect... a good investment..
If you like sports, playin some bball with a few buddys always makes lift my mood..
Or, if you like to be adventurous, go canoeing or rock climbing.. awesome arm workout, and kills your abs
Walking though.. I love it, that's why I don't drive most places I just walk.. when you walk instead of drive, you're burning about 180 calories in 30 minutes.
