When should I take my creatine?!

Question: When should I take my creatine.?
I currently do a full body workout 2-3x a week. (I know split is better, but this is what I have to do now) Now I take creatine after I workout, but that is all. I rest two days in between workout days.

Should I take the creatine more often, say, the morning of exercise day and after I exercise, or every morning, or what.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
5 grams a day is fine to maintain your creatine levels. On days you dont workout, take 5 grams after any meal. On days you do workout, take 5 grams after your workout with a post recovery drink.

The reason you take it afterwards is because 1. After your workout is when your body has been taxed of resources, and various receptorcites across the muscle cells will be more readily opened and able to absorb nutrients. 2. Taking creatine before your workout will not improve absorption, and could cause some bloating and stomach discomfort. Even if this is not the case, absorption is better post workout.

>> Creatine isn't doing you any good if you're only working out a couple times a week.

? This is probably true as well, and I'd also add that creatine works better when the workout itself is designed correctly. 15 to 25 reps of circuit training will make the creatine count a lot less than if you were doing a more powerlifting style workout.Health Question & Answer

Same regime as myself and works very well for me. Regarding creatine, take it before a workout for maximum benefit. However protein should be constantly taken as essentialy it is the building block of muscle growth. Creatine gives you more intensity and massive bursts of strength to your workouts so for this reason before is much better.Health Question & Answer
