Question: Is this a good exercise regime for a 14-year-old.?
I'm 14, weigh about 105 pounds, 4' 9 3/4". I want to lose a little bit of weight, especially around my thighs. Is this a good exercise regime for me.?:
Sunday- Run 30min.
Monday- Run 30min. after school.
Tuesday- Horseback riding lesson 1 hour.
Wednesday- Nothing.
Thursday- Run 30min. after school.
Friday- Run 30min. after school.
Saturday- 1 hour horseback riding lesson.

Of course this exercise would also be coupled with better eating habits and healthier foods.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
add something to your run...and switch it up
maybe on sunday run intervals (like 2 mins hard 1 easy jog)&repeat....and add some abs work
Monday do a long 40 min aerobic run + lungs&squats or pilates
Tuesday is fine..i don't know a lot about horseback riding though
Wednesday- i would put the "nothing" day after a really hard workout day so you can recover...but it's alright to have a nothing day. maybe you can do yoga or something to ease you muscles
Thursday- bike.? swim laps.? jump rope.? + abs and arms work
Friday- run 30 min after school
saturday- horseback riding lesson

good luck!
basically i thought you needed to switch things up...its the most effective way to lose weight and get in shape. toning you muscles is hugely important...thats when you'll start to see the difference.Health Question & Answer

Im 14 as well and in school I have a course called personal fitness.

From what I do in class losing weight does not involve only running. Running is a cardio exercise which burns fat. However you should vary your excerises within all body parts and vary it between upper body, such as small weights and many repititions for toning and not bulking, and core workouts which are situps using medicine balls that help define your ab area. However the abs will only show if you do cardio because you may have abs but it could all be covered in fat.

The main point is only running is not good for you, and 30 minutes is alot...try 10-20 minutes and different patterns, run jog sprint for diff times and walk...this will adapt ur legs as well to diff styles of running.

Hope I helped!Health Question & Answer

I presume you are female.? You don't state!

You run a lot, but you will be really out of proportion with that workout schedule. You need to work your core and your upper body at least twice a week, or you will look like a twig in a swimsuit.

Good luck with that!Health Question & Answer
